NOT MY THING!!

Its been long....but am back:))
Alot has happended in life, both good and bad. but all in all, the gift of life is enough to make one afford a smile.
We go through alot of experiences everyday. some leave us feeling frustrated, some leave us happy, some challenge us, some empower us-and the list goes on.
I have come to realize that for some things to be done, one has to get out of their cocoon or as some may call it, comfort zone.
Sometimes one may be required to do something, but you hear them say 'that's not my thing' and after trying it out, it works out very well.
(confession) i am a culprit-currently, am undergoing that phase of shedding off the 'not my thing' excuse, because i realize -it all starts in the mind. plus, what you confess, you posses. so i have made up my mind not to give up on this. it will not be easy but guess what_ i am gonna make it :)

And who knows-it may be a stepping stone to greater and better things. -I BELIEVE.

ITS JUST LIKE GRASS, A FLOWER OR A TENT

This life is like grass. why? Grass is here today, and tomorrow its blown away by the wind, stepped on, withers or crushed and just like that-its gone.

This life is like a flower. why? a flower is very beautiful and healthy today, and tomorrow-just like grass, it is blown away by the wind, it is stepped on, it withers and just like that-its no more.

This life is like a tent. why? when in use, it is pitched and people use it to their satisfaction and when the function is over, it is taken down.

We all have one life to live... how can we make it worthwhile???
There is only one book that has life's manual. The book gives wise counsel and if we live according to it, we are guaranteed of a good life. This book is inspired by our creator, so he knows how his creatures should live. Just like a manufacture, he manufactures a good and gives its manual-that has instruction on how well to use the product. And if the manual is not followed appropriately, the product gets destroyed.
Let's choose now, whether to follow the manual and last longer or not to and perish.

YOU NEVER KNOW YOUR TIME

ECCLESIASTES 1: 1-14, 12:8

In this life, all is vanity. The treasures of this world are here today,tomorrow they are gone. Even our physical bodies are useless. Why? This is because one day it is healthy,jovial and attractive, the next its sickly or even no more(dead). recently, a very handsome young man passed away. he was one guy you would just stare at and keep smiling, appreciating God's work, his physical body was very attractive BUT here comes the sad part,his inner man was not as attractive, or rather beautiful. he was so much overtaken by his physical attractiveness that he forgot about his inner self. it is sad to accept that he took his life, he lost meaning in life because everything under the sun is vanity. BUT if he sort meaning from the creator of all, it would be a totally different case. ONLY THE CREATOR OF ALL GIVES MEANING WHEN ALL SEEMS OR FEELS MEANINGLESS. If the young man sort meaning from his creator, he would get to know that, even though these bodies are like flowers (one day they are fresh, the next they are withered), His creator says that:

1. we are wonderfully and fearfully made (Psalm 139:14)

2. we are all children of God (Gal 3:26)

And many other encouraging words that we should lean on whenever we feel down.

It is acceptable to feel tired and frustrated with life. Even job, jeremiah and david are just some of those men of God who found their lives meaningless at some point, but they did not give up. (Psalm 13:2-4), (Jeremiah 20:14-18), (Job 7:15-16).

To conclude all this, it is only the creator of all who gives meaning to life. It saddens my soul to know that a soul passed away without accepting its creator because it will not spend eternity beholding His beauty-the giver of all beauty and all beautiful things. Rather, it will spend eternity in hell:(((....

Let's not take away our own lives because in the first place, we did not give it to ourselves.

new experiences new challenges new beginnings

Whenever we are expected to undergo some changes in our lives, we are most of the time reluctant depending on the new venture. Sometimes we may think of giving up when things get tough and rough. Sometimes we may also feel like all those around us just want us gone, and we feel lonely and depressed. But you know what? NO ONE SHOULD DICTATE OUR ATTITUDE!! Do they provide the air we breath? Do they provide food on our tables everyday? Do they determine our future? ONLY GOD DOES, so He's the only one who should determine our feelings and attitudes. Furthermore,we have no reason to be put down by anyone coz our father, our creator tells us in Psalm 118:6 The LORD is with me; I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?...Come onnnnn,He's promises are just 2 awesome to be compromised Isaiah 43:2 Exodus 6:7 Ezekiel 37:27 etc etc....LET'S DO THIS!!!!!!!!
